Tommy began his music career as a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church children's choir from 2000-2006.  He played his first instrument, alto saxophone, while in middle school in 2002.

In 2003 he played multiple instruments in middle school, alto saxophone and trumpet.

In 2004, as a seventh grader, Tommy sat for an audition with the Archbishop McCarthy High School (AMHS) symphonic band.  He was invited to join the band as a trumpet player.

By December of 2004, Tommy was asked to play trumpet in the AMHS jazz band as well.  At the same time, Tommy was playing Tenor Saxophone for his middle school making a total of three bands and a choir for the year.  Tommy joined the AMHS bands for performances at Universal Studios in Orlando.  During competitions, his teams earned Excellent honors.

In 2005, as an eighth grader Tommy was again asked to play trumpet for the AMHS symphonic and jazz bands.  He continued playing tenor saxophone in middle school.  Tommy's High school bands again performed at universal studios and again earned excellent honors.
